Privacy Policy

Introduction

Perkins-Tryon Demons Football ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website or use a player or coach account. This site is operated in the United States and intended for U.S. audiences.

This website is an independent team site and is not affiliated with Perkins-Tryon Public Schools or any school district. It is operated by the football program for the benefit of players, families, and fans.

Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Public roster information: Name, jersey number, position, height, weight, grade/year, statistics, and photos that appear on public roster and profile pages. This data is public by design — it is the same information printed in game programs and posted on team social media. Players and parents choose whether to participate.
  • Authentication data: When you sign in, our authentication provider (Supabase) stores your email address to identify your account. During account setup, you may be asked to confirm your email to link your login to your roster profile. We do not display your email publicly and we do not use it for marketing or share it with anyone. It exists only so the system can recognize returning users.
  • Player preferences: If a player uses private tools such as the college search favorites list, those selections are stored locally on the player's device (browser storage) so they can see them on their next visit. This data is only visible to the player on their own device and is not sent to our servers.
  • Parental consent records: For players under 18, we store the parent or guardian's name, relationship to the player, and the date they agreed to our terms during onboarding. This is kept as a record that consent was given.
  • Usage analytics: We collect basic, cookieless analytics about how visitors use the site — pages viewed, device type, general geographic location (country, state, city), and referral source. This data is anonymous and used to improve the site.

How We Use Information

  • To operate the public website — schedules, rosters, coaches, and game results
  • To let players log in and edit their own profile
  • To let players save private preferences (like favorited colleges)
  • To improve the site through anonymous usage analytics

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or marketing to third parties.

Players Under 18 & Parental Consent

Most of our players are minors. We take this seriously:

  • A parent or guardian must review and agree to these terms during the player's onboarding before an account is activated.
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
  • Parents may contact the program at any time to review, correct, or request removal of their child's information.

Third-Party Services

We use the following services to operate the site:

  • Google: Available as a sign-in option. When used, Google handles all login credentials — we never see or store passwords for Google sign-in users.
  • Supabase: Our database and authentication provider. Stores roster data, account records, and the email address associated with each login.
  • Vercel: Our website hosting provider.
  • Analytics: We may use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. If analytics are enabled, they are not used for advertising or interest-based profiling.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing or advertising. We only share data with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the website.

Your Rights

You (or a parent on behalf of a minor) have the right to:

  • Request a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Request corrections to inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Withdraw consent and have the account removed

To exercise these rights, contact the program directly.

Cookies

We do not use cookies for advertising or analytics. If analytics are enabled, they operate in cookieless mode. We may use essential cookies required to keep you signed in once you log into your account.

Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to help protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Data Retention

Player profile and account data is retained while the player is part of the program. After a player graduates or leaves the program, their account may be deactivated. Families may request earlier deletion at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma, United States.
